How to Find Us

Taumarunui is approximately 3.5 hours drive from Auckland and 4.5 hours drive from Wellington.

Getting here is easy. Taumarunui is in the middle of the Adventure Highway, and is the Gateway to the Ruapehu Region. It is also at one end of the Forgotten World Highway, State Highway 43 from Stratford.

Travelling from the North, Taumarunui can be reached by State Highway 4, coming from 8 Mile Junction (junction of SH3 and SH4), or from State Highway 41 from the Taupo direction.

Coming from the South, Taumarunui can be reached by State Highway 4, coming through National Park Village, heading north.
